ABORTION: “If abortion is bad for children because it kills them, and we find out through good, solid research that abortion is harming the mental or physical well-being of women – and subsequently the fathers of those children as well as members of their extended families – then at some point we will have to ask as a society, ‘if abortion is bad for all these people and causing all this damage, who is it good for?’ We all know the answer: the abortion industry.” (Olivia Gans, Director, American Victims of Abortion)
Suggested prayer: That the slaughter of the innocents through the practice of abortion may come to an end, we pray.
FAMILY PERSPECTIVE: Holy Family Sunday is not just about Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Your family, too, is called to be a “sign” to the world of a way of life modeled after the Holy Family. Like Mary and Joseph, you will be a “sign opposed” by others. For being different a “sword will pierce your heart.” If we are doing it right, pain and Christianity go together!
WHITE COAT MASS: The Catholic Medical Association will sponsor a White Coat Mass here on Friday, January 2, 2009, with Fr. Stephen Majoros celebrating. This Mass will be followed by a Rosary at the Center for Choice on 22nd St. All parish medical professionals and families are invited to participate.
