ABORTION: A recent TV ad features an ultrasound image of an unborn child in the womb accompanied by this message:  “The child’s future is a broken home.  He will be abandoned by his father.  His single mother will struggle to raise him.  Despite the hardships, he will endure…this child will become the first African-American president.”  The powerful ad concludes:  “Life: Imagine the Potential.”
Suggested Prayers: That America may reject the Culture of Death and work toward establishing a Culture of Life in which each person is respected and protected, we pray.

FROM FR. POGGEMEYER: Thank you to all the parishioners for your prays and the monetary gifts in celebration of my 12th anniversary.

ROOF PROJECT UPDATE: The roofing project is well under way.  The good weather has helped.  God always seems to take care of us here at St. Joseph’s.

WEEKDAY MASS TIME AND PLACE CHANGE: Over the next week while our roofing project is taking place, WEEKDAY MORNING MASS will take place at St. Michael’s on Sandusky St. just off Summit St. When you go around the bend on Summit St., Sandusky St. is a few blocks down, just before the railroad tracks, and turn left.  The roofers might be finished by Thursday, so you may just have to do a drive by, to see where the Mass actually is for Thursday and First Friday Masses.

PARISH CONDOLENCES to the family of Doris Huber, parishioner who recently died.  Your prayers are requested for the repose of her soul and for the family she leaves behind. REQUIESCAT IN PACE!

MODESTY IN CHURCH: Now that the warmer summer weather is upon us please remember, no shorts or bare shoulders in church. Modesty is the Policy.

CLOSING OF THE YEAR OF ST. PAUL: Please join Fr. Michael Billian, Episcopal Vicar, as we pray Solemn Vespers for the diocesan closing of The Year Of St. Paul at Rosary Cathedral, June 28th at 4 P.M.  All are welcome.  Our Cathedral is located at the corner of Collingwood and Islington near downtown Toledo and there is plenty of free parking.

CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT ENVELOPES: Capital Improvement envelopes, for our extraordinary repairs, are in the back of the church on the radiators next to the bulletins.

Annual Catholic Appeal - $10,050
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT - $10,945 - Thank you for your sacrificial giving!
