ABORTION: The infant Jesus adored at Christmas was, like each of us, an unborn child who began and grew in His mother's womb. God-made-man accepted each and every phase of our humanity to demonstrate the sacredness of human life at all stages.
Suggested prayer: As we contemplate the glory of the Christ Child, let us resolve this year to work more faithfully for the protection of each human life, we pray.

FAMILY PERSPECTIVE: The magi in today's gospel were led to Jesus by a star. Who are the stars your children follow? Don't let it be the tabloid stars. Resolve in 2009 to be the guiding star in the life of your children.

THANK YOU: A great big THANK YOU!! for all of your Christmas Gifts. This was my first Christmas as your pastor and it was a very uplifting experience for me. All three Christmas Masses were beautiful and left me with a great lasting impression of all of you. May God Bless You in this New Year.†† Yours in Christ, † Fr. Poggemeyer

MONASTERY OF THE VISITATION: A Holy Hour will be held at the Monastery Of The Visitation located at 1745 Parkside Blvd. Toledo at 4:00p.m. on Sunday January 4th. The Holy Hour consists of Evening Prayer (Vespers), the Rosary, Homily and Benediction. These services are conducted by our Father Poggemeyer. All are welcome.

WORD OF LIFE: The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) would "outlaw any 'interference' in providing abortion at will. It would deprive the American people in all fifty states of the freedom they now have to enact modest restraints and regulations on the abortion industry. FOCA would coerce all Americans into subsidizing and promoting abortion with tax dollars. It would counteract any and all sincere efforts by government and others of good will to reduce the number of abortions in our country."

MEMORIAL: Memorials received in memory of Ruth Kunkle

  • Arlene Wilson - Sylvania, Ohio
  • Donald & Carolina Francis - Toledo, Ohio

DVDíS: Once again, DVD's are available for those who wish to purchase Fr. Majoros' last Mass here as our pastor. They are available in the sacristy for $10.00.

CHURCH REPLICAS: The church replicas are available after Mass for $25.00 each.
