ABORTION: “Researchers Find Safer Methods to Reprogram Adult Stem Cells.”  This recent headline describing adult stem cell research that does not involve killing embryos join those announcing breakthroughs with adult stem cells from bone marrow, skin, and placentas.  Meanwhile the world of embryonic stem cell research keeps demanding more money while producing negligible results.
Suggested Prayers: For those who are involved in the abortion industry, that they may turn from death to life, we pray.

A FAMILY PERSPECTIVE: In today’s gospel, the disciples recognized Jesus only after they ate with Him and touched Him.  Only then did their fear leave them.  Perhaps we would relieve anxiety in our homes if we touched more often and shared in more focused family meals.

CONGRATULATIONS to our young parishioners who will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation next Saturday at 12 noon at Rosary Cathedral.

FR. MAJOROS expresses gratitude to all the people who have sent him Easter Greetings.  He is delighted to know he has not yet been forgotten.

MAY CROWNING OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY next Sunday at the 10:30 A.M. Mass.

CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT ENVELOPES:  We now have enough bids to send a request to the Diocese for permission to put on a new roof, but we cannot yet safely claim to have enough money for this project.  Please consider giving some extra money towards our new roof.  Capital Improvement envelopes are in the back of the church on the radiators next to the bulletins.

extends a very heartfelt Thank You to the entire parish for the tremendous success of their baby bottle campaign.  St. Joseph parishioners have donated $1491.41 to date.  Your efforts will allow them to continue to assist mothers and their babies with supplies such as diapers, layette items and educational materials.  Thank You for supporting them in their work to help mothers and babies in our community.

CENTRAL CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL music department has chosen “Hello, Dolly!” as its spring musical scheduled for May 8-10 at the Valentine Theater.  Tickets may be purchased by calling 419-255-2280 ext 1061 or online at under Alumni & Friends > Events.

LIGHTHOUSE CATHOLIC MEDIA: The CD’s available in the back of church are only $3.00 per CD.  What a simple and inexpensive way to turn your car or van into a chapel, your gym into a classroom, or your home into a place where you fall in love with God.
